Renew Coverage
How do I renew my coverage?
Renew your health and dental coverage including free or low-cost Washington Apple Health. Apple Health renewal occurs all year-round. You can expect to get a letter about your annual renewal with important deadline information.

Sign in to your account to renew your coverage.
Renew in person
Get help renewing in-person from a navigator or broker. Navigators are trained to help you complete an application and answer any questions as you enroll. You can get help in-person and over-the-phone from a navigator. Registered brokers are licensed professionals that can help you fill out the application and recommend a plan for you.

Each year, you'll receive a letter about how to renew your coverage. Most coverage is automatically renewed, but you can still change plans or cancel your coverage. Sign in to access this letter on your account dashboard.

How do I cancel my coverage?
Before canceling
Update your income in your application. Your change in income may qualify you for free or low-cost Apple Health or financial help paying for coverage.
Cancel Apple Health coverage
Online:
- Sign in to your Washington Healthplanfinder account and select “Report a Change” from the Account Home on your dashboard.
- You will be directed to the "Report a change" screen.
- Answer "Yes" to the question, "I need to add or remove someone from my household."
- On the household members screen, select "Edit" on the household member you want to cancel coverage for.
- Answer "No" to the question, "Does this person want to apply for coverage or continue existing coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder?" and save your selection.
- Continue through the application and E-sign to submit the changes.
Once you remove someone from coverage and E-sign, you can still view the plan on your dashboard. It may take up to 24 hours for your canceled plan to be reflected in the online application.

Cancel Qualified Health and/or Dental Plans for one household member Online:
- Sign in to your Washington Healthplanfinder account and select "Report a change" from the Account Home on your dashboard.
- You will be directed to the "Report a change" screen.
- Answer "Yes" to the question, "I need to add or remove someone from my household."
- On the household members screen, select "Edit" on the household member you want to cancel coverage for.
- Answer "No" to the question, "Does this person want to apply for coverage or continue existing coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder?" and save your selection.
- Continue through the application and E-sign to submit the changes.

Cancel Qualified Health and/or Dental Plans for all household members
Online:
- Sign in to your Washington Healthplanfinder account and select "Cancel" on your dashboard below the plan you want to cancel.
- You will be directed to the "Cancellation Confirmation Page" to confirm your cancellation.
- Confirm cancellation to cancel coverage for all household members.
- This process needs to be repeated for all Qualified Health and/or Dental Plan(s) that you want to cancel.
You should receive an email confirming coverage cancellation after canceling coverage.

Cancel Coverage Dates:
- You can use the “Cancel” button to disenroll for all household members until the last day of the month for coverage cancellation on the 1st of the next month.
- If you select “Report a change” to remove an individual household member or cancel Apple Health coverage, the cancellation follows the 15th of the month rule:
- If you cancel your coverage by 11:59pm PST of the 15th of the month, your coverage will end on the last day of that month.
- If you cancel your coverage after the 15th of the month, your coverage will end on the last day of the following month.
Add or Remove Members
How do I add or remove a member from coverage?
If you want to add or remove a household member from coverage, select "Report a Change" and make updates to your application.
Adding or removing members may change your eligibility for financial help and which coverage program you qualify for.
Update Household Size
I forgot to update my household size (such as, getting married or having a baby) last year. What should I do?
Any changes to your household size that you forgot to update can be updated using Form 8962.
If your household size is the same as last year, make sure to report the change on your application so your eligibility stays up to date.
Coverage After a Move
If I move to a new area, can I keep the same coverage?
Sign in to your account and report that your address has changed. If your current coverage is not available in your new area, you will be asked to select a new plan.
How do I pay my monthly premium?
Customers must pay their monthly premium directly to their insurance company.
View your insurance company's payment options at wahealthplanfinder.org.
Account Access
Who can access my account?
Only you or the original user who created your account, your authorized representative, or a member of the Washington Healthplanfinder customer support network that you are working with can access your account.
Insurance Card
Where can I find my insurance card?
Your insurance card is given to you by your insurance company. Your card will be mailed to you within a few weeks of enrolling.
If you're enrolled in Apple Health, your digital card is available in WAPlanfinder. Open your “Application Details” to view your card.
Unpaid Medical Bills
Will my coverage pay for unpaid medical bills?
If you're eligible for Apple Health, you may be able to get help paying for unpaid medical bills if they occurred within the last three months prior to your coverage start date.
