What Is Apple Health?
Apple Health is the name for Medicaid in Washington. Apple Health is free or low-cost health insurance coverage for those who qualify. Covered services include primary care, emergency visits, maternity services, pediatric care, dental services, vision care, prescription medications and more.
Apple Health is available year-round. You can apply for Apple Health at any time.
Who Can Get Apple Health?
Apple Health is available to those under a certain income level. You must also be a citizen or legal resident of five years under the age of 65. You can find all of the eligibility requirements on Washington Health Care Authority's website.
How Do I Apply for or Renew Apple Health?
You must apply for or renew Apple Health coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder. Create an account or sign into your account to apply.

What If I Don’t Qualify for Apple Health?
If you don’t qualify for Apple Health, you can still get other types of plans and savings. Cascade Care plans offer more coverage and savings than most plans we offer.
After-Pregnancy Coverage
People who have been pregnant can get After-Pregnancy Coverage through Apple Health. This health insurance coverage is available in the 12 months after pregnancy ends. If you report your pregnancy before it ends, After-Pregnancy Coverage starts when your pregnancy ends.
Apple Health Expansion
Apple Health Expansion provides full-scope health care coverage to people age 19 or older with certain immigration statuses. Eligible clients include those who do not qualify for other Apple Health programs based on their immigration status.
Due to program funding, the number of people who can enroll in Apple Health Expansion is limited. Visit hca.wa.gov/apple-health-expansion to learn more about this program and explore your options.
